Wallpapers I'm Obsessing Over, Summer '24 Edition

Pretty much at all times I have a running list of wallpapers I want to use in projects. I love seeing all the different wallcovering options and the different ways you can install them (ceiling, above beadboard, etc.). Here are my top 6 right now and where I would put them/how I would style them.

Divine Savages Lovebirds wallpaper

I am not a huge fan of the color orange for my own home, but there's something about the orange + blue color combination here that I love! I like how this photo on the right shows it installed: in a more formal sitting room setting. I discovered this wallcovering when I was helping my cousin find a wallpaper for her dining room. In the process, I found this new wallpaper source, Divine Savages, where "Lovebirds" is from also.

PENUMBRA

Designed by abstract artist Matera, this mural makes a statement and is meant to fill an entire wall. The abstract artist paints these conversation starters outdoors exclusively, her works reflecting elements of the changing weather. Digitally printed on lightly textured DreamScape Terralon, a contract-grade and full bath-safe material.

Comes in several colors/designs.

When these murals were launched, I immediately started looking for places in my home I could put them! The only room I haven't designed yet is my entry, so I'm hoping to incorporate one of these in there. I have a white brick fireplace that I plan to fill with disco balls in the near future; the lightest color you see here would go well with that I have there. Plus, I'm kind of bored with the entry...so this will definitely add some interest. I love that there's a sort of urban feel to these murals/designs. I ordered samples of all of these, but as this is a new product, it might take a while for me to get those. Stay tuned!

FEATHER EFFECT

Crafted from printed PVC on a non-woven backing, this wallpaper boasts a sablé textured background. Bring this luxury wallpaper into your home and watch as it becomes the focal point of any room. Whether it's a grand hallway or an elegant dining space, this luxury wallpaper will have your guests marvelling at its beauty. Their eyes will be drawn to the captivating patterns, each step becoming a journey through the realms of fashion and design.

Comes in several colors.

Remember how I told you my cousin was looking for a wallpaper? This is what she ended up going with. She found it at a local (she lives in Dallas, TX) wallpaper shop. I'm obsessed! We did discuss a few locations within her dining room, but I convinced her to put this on her ceiling! You can't tell from pictures, but there is a gold shimmer in the lighter colors. She is going with a light, white color, which has the gold shimmer. She has a snake rug in her dining room, with a glam style + vibe going on. I think this is going to look amazing. I'll share pictures when she gets it installed. Honestly, there isn't anywhere I wouldn't put this paper. It would look fabulous in a powder/guest bath. Also, talking about this with my cousin has inspired my goals: I've never really wanted a design storefront in the traditional sense, but a wallpaper shop? YES!

York Feathers wallcovering

I saw this at Homearama this past weekend and immediately fell in love with the look, sheen, and texture. It looks great in a bath space like you see in this Homearama home, but I'd also install it on an entry wall with a console table and mirror/artwork.

I'd love to see this in a dining room or bedroom. The teal + pink color combination is my favorite of all time. The exterior of my own home is teal with a pink door! They are my two favorite colors, and I love that they go together.

A lot of the installation pictures for this pattern are in kids' spaces. I like that, but big, bold patterns to me belong in a dining room! I'm feeling like my perfect recipe for wallpaper patterns is: wild creature (tiger/leopard/lion/snake) + florals, maybe throw in some feathers! I'm drawn to these elements every time.

As I was writing this blogpost, I realized there was a bit of a "feather + birds" theme going on! It was unintentional, but I'm here for it. Tell me which wallcovering is your favorite by voting here. I can't wait to see which wallpapers you love on this list, and I hope you are feeling inspired to put some wallpaper in your own home!
